3 Country Marathon

The organizers offer five routes - both walking and running -, with varying distances, but all those start at 11.11 am at the Lindau harbour in Germany. The marathon was first from 2001 to 2005 under the name of three-country marathon in October.The marathon starts from the beautiful harbour of Lindau, then passes through the Austrian towns Bregenz, Bregenz, Hard, maximum, then it crosses the Swiss border at St. Margreten and Continues Across the Rhine embankment back to Hard and finally finishes in Bregenz.You will run mainly around the lake, and will always be surrounded by beautiful, snow capped mountains. But no need to worry, it is a very flat course. Also, you will pass by the world’s largest open theater, where the latest James Bond movie was filmed.

During this Central European run you will not only enjoy the stunning scenery, but will also have the chance to visit three countries at a time. The path starts at the beautiful spa town of Lindau, in Germany, continues along the shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee), through enchanting Austrian towns. It then crosses the Swiss border at the picturesque St. Margreten, and finally runners return back to Austria, finishing at the stadium of the charming town of Bregenz.

You pass the World's Largest open theater, with the stage design of the opera André Chénier. Then passing through reeds and woods, you finally finish in the casino stage in Bregenz,Shortly before crossing the finish line, you pass the antique abbey Mehrerau, a place of peace and spirituality.

Please take your change of clothing to the lorry marked with your race number, which are stationed on the “Reichsplatzt” (see start plan). Please use carry bag you received with your starting package displaying your race number for change of clothing (only this bag will be accepted). Do not place any valuables or breakables in the bag, as the organizers will not be held responsible for loss or damage. The change of clothing will be transported to finish point in the Casino stadium in Bregenz.

Every 5 kilometers and in the destination are food and drink stations. Additional water stations every 5 km from kilometer 12.5 between the supply points.

18 years and above.

Each participant who reaches the finish by 16.00 hours will receive a Finisher Medal.

Timekeeping takes place exclusively with the champion chip. Please choose when you register, if you own your own chip, rent a champion chip (4,00 €) or buy (28,00 €).

Cut off time is 6hrs.

On Sunday, all runners can use the fleet of the “Vorarlberg Lines” for transfer from Bregenz habour to Lindau harbour free of charge.
