Willamette Valley Marathon

un through the Oregon State Capitol, along the banks of the Willamette River and finish at the welcoming green expanses of Riverfront Park and an intimate, local wine tasting festival.

Big city run and wild-scenic beauty all-in-one! The run starts on the steps of the majestic Oregon State Capitol building, travels through the heart of Salem, crosses the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bridge and then settles into miles of pristine paved paths that meander through the Minto-Brown Island Park.

The run finishes at the Riverfront City Park Amphitheater and the Willamette Valley Wine Festival. All Breakaway Promotions events finish with a spectacular catered lunch and in celebration of the wines of the region a Tasting Package for the Wine Festival is also included. Family and friends, of all ages, are invited to join the party, listen to live music and enjoy local food-cart fare.
