Overview
In 2018, a packed crowd witnessed Team USA take the gold ahead of Great Britain at the inaugural Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham. 19 international quartets had decended on the city, all racing in search of Olympic qualification points as part of the World Triathlon Mixed Relay series, just two days before they headed north to take on the British leg of the ITU World Triathlon Series in Leeds.International quartets will once again return to the banks of the River Trent on Saturday 15 June 2019, as the battle continues for qualification points to secure a place on the start line as Triathlon Mixed Relay makes its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Games. But the event is not all about the elite action with over 200 Age-Group and GO TRI first time triathletes having celebrated their blue carpet moment last year, the 2019 event welcomes the British Age-Group Sprint Distance Championships to the schedule creating opportunities at all levels of the sport to take part in the action across a range of event distances.
