Arroyo Creek Half Marathon, 10k & 5k

The annual Arroyo Creek Half Marathon, 5k, and 10k races take you along the Arroyo bike path. This route is lined with trees for shade and provides stunning views of the nearby Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains. The race start will be held at the Rancho Simi Park at 1765 Royal Ave, Simi Valley CA 93065.

Half Marathon:Start at Rancho Simi Park and Erringer. Head east on the Arroyo Bike path up to approx Angus Ave. The bike path will take a left turn towards L.A. Ave the turn around is at that point. We will have a turn around sign and aid station at that point. Head west to Madera, turn around and head east to Erringer, right on Erringer, right at the bike path towards the park, left into the park then back to the finish line.5k course:Start at Rancho Simi Park and Erringer. Head east on the Arroyo Bike path up to approx a quarter mile past sycamore, to  the turn around point and head on back the way you came.  We will have a turn around sign at the 5k so please keep an eye out for it.10K course:Start at Rancho Simi Park and Erringer. Head east on the Arroyo Bike path up to approx Darrah Ave, to  the turn around point and head on back the way you came.  We will have a turn around sign at the 5k so please keep an eye out for it.

Make sure to arrive in plenty of time before the start of the race. Remember that parking and warming up take time, so we advise you to aim to arrive at least an hour before your race start time.

There are two parking lots with enough space for all participants.Drive to Rancho Simi Community park, 1765 Royal Ave, Simi Valley CA 93065 and you will be directed.

There is no specific kit list. Wear comfortable warm weather running gear.

Can I walk the course? Yes: you have 4 hours to finish the half marathon, that’s about 15minutes plus per mile. Sooo… walkers are welcome, stroller moms, and walking clubs.  Those of you who are new to 5k, 10k events are encouraged to come out and push yourself to new limits of fitness.All of our courses are designed with EVERYONE in mind!Is the course accurately measured and marked?Yes:  We have measured the course using a GPS watch and checked it three different times with three different runners.  That is the best we can do, as you know GPS will vary slightly from time to time but it’s the best we can offer for you.  Feel free to check it out on your own watch if you have time prior to the race.  There will be mile markers on the course.When, where and what is Package pickup? This is where you pick up your race timing chip, race bib #, and race day t-shirt, ask your pre-race questions, check out the course map.This will be your last chance to register for this race,NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.Saturday, June 23rd  –  10:00 am to 2:00 pmFleet Feet WestlakeCan I register for the race at the packet pick-up location? YES…You can register for the race at the package pick-up there is NO Discounts Package pickup and we only accept cash or credit cards, NO CHECKS. You can also register online or by sending in the registration form.  Online registration closes August 12  at 10:00 am.What kind of t-shirts will we be getting?Tech shirts that are men’s specific and women’s specific sizes.  Tech shirts are more fitted moisture wicking types of shirtsParking? … Where do we park? We have two large parking lots that should hold everyone.  Come early and be patient.  There will be hundreds of people trying to get into the same place all at once.
