The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K is one of Chicagos best running celebrations, with a one-of-a-kind course! The Chicago tradition continues the St. Patricks Day celebration and kicks off the spring running season in Chicago. The runs unique 8K (4.97 miles) course weaves its way through downtown Chicago, starting and finishing in Grant Park.Not up for the run? Join the walk! Walkers will be treated to a scenic 2 mile course along Chicagos lakefront, starting and finishing in the same location as the 8K run. The walk is a perfect introduction to the Shamrock Shuffle and is ideal for aspiring runners or those looking to take part in the celebration without tackling an 8K (4.97 miles).Information about 2019 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle registration will be available in September 2018.
Information about 2019 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle registration will be available in September 2018.To register, participants must be 8 years of age or older on event day. Registrants under 18 years of age must have the registration form completed by a parent or legal guardian permitting participation.Registrants for the 8K run must be capable of maintaining a 15:00/mile pace. Completing the full event distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement of 1 hour and 15 minutes (h:mm:ss/1:15:59).Registrants for the 2 mile walk must be capable of maintaining a 30:00/mile pace. Completing the full event distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement of 1 hour (h:mm:ss/1:00:59).

Aid stationsThe Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K run will have two on-course aid stations. Each aid station will offer Gatorade® Endurance Formula (lemon-lime), water, medical support and toilet facilities.Aid Station 1: Mile 1.6(State Street and Randolph Street)Aid Station 2: Mile 3.6(Harrison Street and Wells Street)The 2 mile walk will have one on-course aid station offering water and toilet facilities.Prohibited devices on courseWheeled devices are not permitted for use on the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K run and 2 mile walk course by anyone other than registered and authorized wheelchair, handcycle or duo team participant. Prohibited wheeled devices include non-registered wheelchairs and handcycles, baby joggers, strollers, skateboards, rollerblades and bicycles.The use of selfie-sticks, camera mounts, video devices, computers or any similar devices by anyone while participating in the event is prohibited.Music devices with headphones are permitted for use on the course; however, participants must be alert to their surroundings at all times and must pay attention to important announcements made in Grant Park and along the course.Course time requirementParticipants must be capable of maintaining a 15:00/mile pace for the 8K run and a 30:00/mile pace for the 2 mile walk. Completing the full event distance, start line to finish line, within the event time requirement of 1 hour and 15 minutes (h:mm:ss/1:15:59) for the 8K run and 1 hour (hh:mm:ss/1:00:59) for the 2 mile walk.Participants who finish outside of the time requirement may not receive full on-course support from aid stations and traffic safety personnel. Runners who finish outside of the time requirement may not be recorded as official finishers.Clocks and mile markersClocks and mile markers will be located at every mile for the 8K run. Timing mats for the 8K run will be at the start line, 5K and finish line. The 2 mile walk is an untimed event. Mile markers will be located at every mile.
