The New Forest is an area of southern England that includes New Forest National Park. The region is known for its heath-land, forest trails and native ponies.What better place to experience trail running, regardless of experience, we actively encourage new runners to our events and with no cut offs all you need do is worry about being ready for the event.
Race results will be posted online, and finishers will receive a medal.
The routes and will take you on captivating run through the forest including wide open paths, woodland and plenty of open space, with views out and across the moorland. With plenty of wildlife to keep you company including deer, ponies, cattle and the odd pig, this near end of season trail running event should be a lovely if not slightly chilly end to your years efforts.
All the routes start and finish at Hollands Wood Campsite Parking will be available at the start/finish area.
The event will be held at Hollands Wood Campsite, Lyndhurst Rd, Brockenhurst, about 30 minutes south of Southhampton along the A35. You can also take the Bluestar 6 bus to the Balmer Lawn Hotel, a short walk from the event.
We always welcome volunteers at our events so if you fancy joining the team for the day or even a few hours at registration or with parking, please get in touch. You will be rewarded for your efforts and will be able to choose an event to enter for free, thats any event and any distance. We are very aware its Remembrance Sunday as we have ex-military in our team, so there will be a minute silence at 11.00 am Just before the safety brief, we request you respect this time accordingly.Fancy running with your dog? There is a Cani-cross option on the 10 km route. (10 km ONLY, NO DOGS ON THE OTHER ROUTES PLEASE). To minimise disturbance to wildlife, livestock and other people, please keep your dogs on a lead or dog leash at all times. Pick up after your dog.
