Mandatory GearThe Buffalo Stampede events cover some isolated ground at high elevations. Whilst usually the weather is good in April, conditions in the mountains can change at any time so runners need to be prepared.Runners in the Ultra need to be especially well prepared, as, if they are injured late in the event, they could be waiting in possibly cold and dark conditions before assistance arrives.Requirements will vary depending upon the weather forecast and will be advised 1 hour before the scheduled race start time. All runners should travel to Bright with all items of compulsory gear available, it is hoped that runners will be able to participate with as little gear as possible however we will not compromise safety and the kit decision on the day is final and not for discussion. Please come prepared with all Mandatory items.. we will turn you away at the gear check if you do not have it.SkySprint – 10k600ml of waterWhistlePhoneSkyRun – 20k1 litre of waterPersonal Nutrition for 3-5 hours.WhistleMobile PhoneBad Weather for both SkySprint and SkyRun –Good Weather gear ANDWaterproof jacketSkymarathonMarathon (Good Weather)Waterproof jacket with hood1-litre fluid minimumMobile phone (preferably Telstra Next G), this should be the phone attached to the number supplied when entering the eventWhistleSpace blanketMarathon (Bad Weather)Waterproof jacket WITH hoodThermal long shirt (not a compression shirt)Beanie, buff or similar warm headwearFull fingered glovesMobile phone (preferably Telstra Next G), this should be the phone attached to the number supplied when entering the eventWhistleSpace blanket Ultra SkyMarathonUltra (Good Weather)Waterproof jacket with hoodThermal long shirt (not a compression shirt) Please do not come to us on race day with a compression shirt!!!!Beanie, buff or similar warm headwear – 1 piece.1.5litres of fluid minimumMobile phone (preferably Telstra Next G), this should be the phone attached to the number supplied when entering the eventWhistleSpace blanketUltra (Bad Weather)Waterproof jacket and hoodThermal long shirt (not a compression shirt)Waterproof tights or pants (not compression)Beanie, buff or similar warm headwearFull fingered gloves1.5 litre fluid minimumMobile phone (preferably Telstra Next G), this should be the phone attached to the number supplied when entering the eventWhistleSpace blanket
