Overview
The World Cup will take place on 14-16 June 2019 at Lee Valley White Water Centre, the iconic venue for the London 2012 Olympic Games, and will be the first international slalom competition held in the UK since 2015. There is a range of tickets available at affordable prices, including: £5 admission for adults on Friday 14 June Junior (under 16) tickets are only £1 per day and £3 for the three days of the World Cup Discounted ticket prices for British Canoeing members purchasing between 1-14 October Discounted tickets for newsletter sign-ups purchasing between 15 -28 October The event will be a great opportunity to see the Great Britain team take on the world’s best paddlers in their build up to the Tokyo 2020 Games and experience a value for money family day out at Lee Valley White Water Centre.
Course details
The World Cup includes four individual events – Kayak (K)1 men, K1 women, Canoe (C)1 men, and C1 women –the medal events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, alongside the C2 men’s competition. On Sunday 16 June the World Cup will also include Extreme Slalom, an emerging discipline in the sport that involves four paddlers racing against each other in boats down the white water course. Across the three days there will also be a range of family centred activities taking place, including paddling on the water, food and drink stalls, entertainment and an expo village. Also included in the ticket price is access to the off-the-water inflatable park, one of the largest in Europe, situated within Lee Valley White Water Centre.
What's included
British Canoeing has won the rights to host a 2019 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup event and the 2020 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships. Both events will be held at Lee Valley White Water Centre. Both international events are supported by UK Sport and Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.
