Chase the Sun 5k & 10k – Crystal Palace

The RunThrough Chase the Sun series is back at Crystal Palace Park. The park is situated on the Norwood Ridge, offering stunning views of Central London, Greenwich and the North Downs. This undulating route in the beautiful park is the perfect opportunity for a fun evening run, even passing a few dinosaurs along the course!
Included is a themed medal, water, fruit & flapjacks. Each kilometer is accurately marked out with distance flags and we have plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish.
The course is on the roads/paths in the park and will be 1 lap 5k and 2 laps 10k. Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park.There will be marshals all around the course as well as km signs and arrows.

The only necessity is trainers. We advise preparing your running clothes dependent on the weather and remember it can be cold when leaving the house but warm up pretty quickly when running. The race is chip timed so you don't need a running watch but of course if keeping an eye on the mile splits then you can wear your own watch.
Spectators are always welcome and the more the merrier and they are free to walk around the course. There is plenty of parking within the park and nearby.

Is this event chip timed?Yes, this event is chip timed and accurately measured.What is the minimum age for Registration: 11 years old for a 5k, 15 years old for a 10k.Are there water stations?Yes, every event has water stations at both the finish and halfway markDo you have a baggage drop? Do you charge for it?Yes we will have a baggage drop, and it is FREE to use. We have a member of staff managing the station while you run.What do I get at the end of the race?You can help yourself to a piece of fruit and a flapjack when you finish. You will also receive a medal!Am I allowed to wear headphones?We’d strongly advise against it – the nature of the events means that you need to be aware of your surroundings and be able to hear marshals instructions.BaggageWe will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. ToiletsThere will be portaloos within the event village.
