The Chico Stage Race is California's season opener for the 2019 cycling season. The event consists of the Thunderhill Circuit Race, Paskenta Hills Road Race p/b Jakroo, River Road Time Trial, and Steve Harrison Memorial Downtown Criterium in Chico, CA.

A 2-mile, multi- turn, auto racing track with minor elevation changes. This is the smoothest pavement you will ever have the opportunity to experience! Fast wheels with slick tires highly recommended! Located at Thunderhill Raceway Park.

You can pickup your numbers starting an hour prior to your first event.Do I have to wear my helmet even when I'm rolling around the parking lot?Helmets must be worn and secured at all times while on a bicycle. Per USAC 1J1, "At all times when participating in an event held under a USA Cycling event permit, including club rides, any rider on a bicycle or motorcycle shall wear a protective, securely fastened helmet that satisfies the standards specified in USA Cycling Policies...at any time between the beginning of registration and the last awarding of prizes."Can I race just one stage? I want to race the criterium only, can I do that?No, since the event is a stage race each stage must be completed in order to start the next stage.
