Overview
Three distances are on offer, all of which take in Derbyshire and Leicestershire's fantastic scenery, on mainly quiet roads heading out as far as Cannock Chase on the 160km route, whilst the 80km and 40km routes take in country lanes around Tutbury, Needwood Thurvaston and Dalbury.

What's included
The Spring Classic sportive offers three distances covering South Derbyshire and Staffordshire with the 160km route heading up and over Cannock Chase. Registration and number/chip collection for the sportive rides are at the following times:Saturday 27th April: 14:00 to 18:00 We would strongly recommend you pick your race pack up on Saturday as it will save you some time on Sunday.Sunday 28th April:160km riders: 07:15 - 07:45 (Start time 08:00)80km riders: 08:00 - 08:45 (Start time 09:00)40km riders: 09:00 - 09:45 (Start time 10:00)Family ride 09:30 - 10:00 (Start time 10:15)When you arrive just give your surname and the distance you are riding so the marshals can find your number. Please check that you receive the following at registration:1. Laminated rider number with transponder and cable ties2. Wristband 3. Route maps and instructions
Car ParkingMundy Play Centre and Craft Village Car Parks are the official car parks for the event and can be accessed from Markeaton Lane. Car parking charges (current as of April 2018) 2 hours £2.20, 4 hours £3.60 Max £4.70Approx 700 spaces Sat Nav DE22 4NHNo height restriction barrier.
Recommended equipment:Water bottles for your bike, sunscreen, waterproofs, additional nutritional snacks, mobile phone, extra clothing, money or cash card, any personal medication and any appropriate tools and spares.
Spectators are welcome at any of the feed stations to watch riders come and go; there's a great buzz in our Event Village at Markeaton Park so come on down and cheer the riders on first thing in the morning, or welcome them back at the end of their ride in the afternoon.
Volunteers help make this event happen. If you volunteer for the event you may find yourself registering cyclists, handing out food at a feed station or handing out medals to cyclists who have finished their ride. Just get in contact (info@duffo.co.uk) if you are available from 08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00 on Sunday 28th April and the event organizers will find a job for you.All volunteers are fully briefed before starting their job, and will be given a hi-vis vest, food, drink and any event freebies that are left over. Volunteers also get a free entry into another Duffo event.
