Drake Well Marathon

This is a small town race with a community of amazing volunteers ready to cheer you on. Running through the canopy and the beauty of the Oil Valley makes for a memorable race. We also plan to help bring the Titusville community together through this event. The proceeds from the Drake Well Marathon help benefit programming sponsored by the Drake Well Museum and PHMC.

This is a small town race with a community of amazing volunteers ready to cheer you on. Running through the canopy and the beauty of the Oil Valley makes for a memorable race. We also plan to help bring the Titusville community together through this event. The proceeds from the Drake Well Marathon help benefit programming sponsored by the Drake Well Museum and PHMC.

The course will take you through the main streets of Titusville, and then down the banks along historical Oil Creek on the scenic paved bike trail. The majority of this race will be nicely shaded for a warm August morning.

Water stations will be approximately every two miles. Each station will have water, and every other station will have both water and Gatorade. Gels will be available at mile 7 for the half-marathon, and at miles 7, 11, 16, and 22 for the marathon.

There is a nice finisher's medal for both marathon and half marathon finishers. First overall male and female for both races will receive a handmade clay "Oil Barrel" mug as well as an embroidered, full-size gym bag!

The race will be chip-timed for accurate results!

Time limit for the event is 6 1/2 hours.
