Thanks to the overwhelming community support the program has received, the Arc of Onondaga Foundation was able to purchase five new adaptive jogging strollers this past year, allowing a total of 25 Arc athletes to be pushed by local runners in the 5K, half marathon and 3k walk events.
The 5k & Half-Marathon courses are certified by the USATF. Course numbers are NY04043AM for the 5k and NY04042AM for the Half Marathon. Courses must be certified for any road running performance to be accepted as a record or to be nationally ranked. Furthermore, running a race on a certified course allows you to accurately compare your time to performance runs on other certified courses because you can be sure the distances were exactly the same. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate. Not only does this enable accurate timing, but also allows us to quickly post results on race day.
There are 13 water tables throughout the Arc Race course. Each table is staffed by generous community volunteers who distribute water and sports drink to thirsty participants!
All registrants will receive goodie bags and finisher medals
