Ely Marathon

Welcome to the Ely Marathon, to be held in Ely city, MN.This scenic course that starts at Burnside Lake and finishes in downtown Ely.

Begin on the North Arm of Burntside lake and turn onto the historic Echo Trail. Coast toward Shagawa Lake on this challenging and beautiful course. A slight detour through charismatic Winton puts you close to a quick loop around Miner's Lake and finish in downtown Ely. Take in Ely and surrounding wilderness on this superb fall run.

Experience the grandeur of the great Northwoods, in the glory of Fall's colors. Traverse through the historical Winton and the amazing main street of Ely. This semi-challenging route includes about six miles of gravel, many scenic views and maybe a deer or two!
