Ze Race 2020

Overview
On January 25, 2020 will be held the 10th edition of Ze Race , the long distance downwind in Guadeloupe organized by the Watermen Karukera Club and Sunset Paddling . Ze Race 2020 is open to Stand Up Paddles (SUP and SUP Foil), Pirogues, Surfskis and Prone Paddleboards, amateurs and professionals.
Course details
Solo only on the following media: Stand Up Paddle, Pirogues, Surfskis, Prones Paddleboard. With a departure from the Desirade and an arrival at the Bas du Fort marina, the 55 km of the ELITE course is aimed at confirmed competitors (about 30 on selection) and will classify "Ze Race" as the longest "Downwind" race at world, thus exceeding by 3 km the famous and mythical "Molokai 2 Oahu" in Hawaii (52 km) classified world championship of the discipline. "Ze Race" is for many competitors, the antechamber of the "Molokai2Oahu". Sea conditions and the inter-island dimension are almost identical. We will select about 30 competitors for this course.
What's included
Solo only, Stand Up Paddle, Pirogues, Surfskis, Paddleboard Prones. The "Mini Ze Race" is aimed at young competitors and adults discovering the activity. It is a race between the beach Datcha, Gosier and marina Bas du Fort. The "Mini Ze Race" is open to the same slides and runs on the last 7 kilometers of 2lite and Open courses. The "Mini Ze Race" is organized in partnership with the Guadeloupe Regional Committee for Canoeing and Paddle Sports.
