2021 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships

Overview
For C2 events (Men and Women) the next highest ranked NOCs from three (3) different continents (excluding Europe) at the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships will earn that continent two (2) athlete quota places each. The two (2) athlete quota places will then be contested at each respective Continental Qualification Competition. Four (4) athlete quota places will be contested at the European Continental Qualification Competition.
Course details
An NOC can qualify a maximum of two (2) athlete quota places in each category, that is, Kayak men, Kayak women, Canoe men and Canoe women at the Continental Qualification Competitions. The unused athlete quota places must be returned to the International Canoe Federation as outlined in Section G - Confirmation Process of Athlete Quota places and Section H - Reallocation of Athlete Quota Places.
What's included
At the Continental Qualification Competitions an NOC can only qualify one boat per class regardless of the distance (ie. Men K1 1000m and 200m, Women 500m and 200m). Should the NOC qualify in both distances in the same boat class then the NOC will be attributed the place in 1000m for Men or 500m for Women. The unused athlete quota place in the 200m distance will be reallocated to the next highest ranked NOC in that event, not yet qualified at the Continental Qualification Championship.
