Overview

E.C. Manning Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It is usually referred to as Manning Park, although that nomenclature is also used to refer to the resort and ski area at the park's core. E. C. Manning Park is a focus of outdoor recreation that is unique in British Columbia. Located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains it is within a three hour drive from either the Lower Mainland (Vancouver) or the Okanagan. The climate and geography have combined to make this park an all season recreation area. Bisected by Hwy. 3, E. C. Manning Park is one of the most popular destination areas in the province. The landscape diversity of this park combined with four seasons’ development and easy access are the prime factors which stimulate visitor interest. The park contains a large number of scenic, historic, floral and fauna attractions and provides a wide range of both summer and winter recreational and also hosts the annual Frosty Mountain Ultra. The Frosty Mountain Ultra is held in beautiful Manning Park, BC. The 50 km Ultra is a one loop, two mountain run and is put on by Trail Whisperer. Trail Whisperer was founded by Gottfried Grosser who strives to create new and exhilarating challenges for trail runners by developing and hosting new trail races. He hopes to host several new ultra trail races out of Greater Vancouver and surrounding areas to give the trail running community more options to conquer the great terrain of British Columbia's beautiful back country.
