Overview
The Gaudos Half Marathon & 10K are the latest addition to the Malta Marathon Organising Committees's list of road races that it organises. All of these races are the most popular and most attended races in Malta. This race will be held in Gozo, Malta's sister island. Gaudos is the old name for Gozo.Participants and their companions can be accommodated in Gozo or may catch an early ferry from Malta. The ferry can be reached by car or by public transport.Gozo Ferry and Transport from Mgarr to Ghajnsielem & back:Free transport by train will be given to participants and their companions from Mgarr (Gozo port) to Ghajnsielem from 0630 to 0745.Athletes participating in the Half Marathon should preferably board the 0545 Gozo ferry or the 0630 ferry at the latest. Those crossing over with their own transport must catch the 0545 ferry. Those athletes participating in the 10K should preferably catch the 0700 ferry but if not must catch the 0730 ferry. Due to logistical issues of getting too many athletes coming off the 0730 ferry to the start on time, the 0700 ferry is severely recommended. Those travelling on the 0700 ferry can see the start of the half marathon and have a proper warm up for their 10K race. The free transport from Ghajnsielem to Mgarr will run as the need arises from 1000 to 1300.
