Gung-Ho! is coming to the North East on 14th september 2020 with 5km of HUGE inflatable obstacles and a whole heap of FUN! Whether you're a veteran athlete or a first-time 5k runner, you'll find plenty of opportunities to show just how Gung-Ho! you really are.

What's included

Each course is designed to best suit the event location. There are no paint, water or mud obstacles at a Gung-Ho! event, but some mud should be anticipated in bad weather. We can not guarantee that every obstacle will appear at every event. The obstacles and their positioning are dependent on the specific venue. Rest assured we will do our best to set up every route to provide the most Gung-Ho! fun.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your wave time. This will allow you to park, collect any remaining tickets and drop any bags in the bag-drop facility before heading to the warm-up area.Wave Times:Gung-Ho! starters are released in waves of up to 250 runners. The first wave will be released at 09:30, with subsequent waves starting at 15-minute intervals. Should you want a time not shown, please email steph@letsdothis.com and we will see what we can do! For safety reasons, it is not possible to book late entries on to full wave times.Bag Drop:Valuables can be left at a manned bag drop facility for a £3 charge per item. (All transactions are cash only on event days)

Car parking will be managed by Gung-H0! and available on the day for a £5 charge. By CarFROM A1(M)Leave A1M at junction 60, signposted Bishop Auckland/Teesside and A689. Join the A689 following signs for Sedgefield and Hartlepool. Continue over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, take second exit onto Stockton Road (A177). After 4 miles, leave Stockton Road (A177) and turn left onto Wynyard Road after speed camera (signposted Wolviston). Continue along Wynyard Road. Turn left into estate at “Golden Gates” (signposted).FROM A19Leave A19 at A689, signposted Durham, Bishop Auckland and A1M. Continue straight over first roundabout (Wynyard Park). Take first exit (left) at second roundabout into Wynyard Village (The Wynd). Follow road through village and turn left onto Wellington Drive (signposted Wynyard Golf Club and Wynyard Hall). Turn right into Wynyard Hall estate (signposted).By TrainWynyard Hall is easily accessible via the East Coast Main Line to Darlington Station, or to Eaglescliffe via Grand Central.Parking is available on site by paying and managed by Gung-Ho!

Your usual gym clothing will be suitable for a Gung-Ho! event. Fancy dress is also welcome but anything sharp or pointy will not be suitable. Comfortable footwear is a must. We recommend wearing trainers that you have worn-in over a period of time before the event. If the weather on the day is wet then we recommend bringing a change of clothing and footwear as the ground can get muddy!

Spectators are welcome at every Gung-Ho! event and entry are Free. Viewing points will depend on the venue layout, with viewing possible at various points around the course. We encourage you to bring friends and family with you to support you on the day.

Can I walk the course or skip an obstacle?You can walk, skip or roll the course if you wish, as long as you enjoy yourself then that’s fine by us! If the obstacle looks too much for you then you are free to pass it by.Can I run with my friends and family?Yes! Gung-Ho! is all about inclusion so no matter your fitness level, you can run together. Choose the same wave time when booking to make sure you run together.Is there an age/height requirement?There is no minimum age requirement but participants must be at least 122 centimeters in height to tackle these monstrous obstacles. Children under 11 must be accompanied through the course by a participating adult.When will I get my t-shirt and headband?You’ll receive your Gung-Ho! Winners Pack after you cross the finish line!
