Hallowrock Half Marathon

The half marathon will start at 8:00 am, the 10K at 8:30 am and the 5K will start at 8:45 am, right behind the PKWY Tavern on the Western Beltway Trail, which runs parallel to the 215. The participants will head west on the Western Beltway Trail, enjoying awesome views of the mountains, for 6.55 miles, 3.1 miles or 1.55 miles, and then will turnaround and enjoy downhill and spectacular views of the strip all the way back to the finish line!The race starts at 2710 ft elevation for all 3 races. For the half marathon, it goes up to 3129 ft at 4.5 miles (419 foot elevation gain, about 100 foot elevation gain per mile) and then goes down to 3066 ft at 5.13 miles (63 foot elevation loss in just under 3/4 mile), then back up to 3189 ft at the turnaround at 6.55 miles (123 foot elevation gain in just under 1.5 miles).So it is a gradual uphill….but then you turnaround and have fun with the downhill back to the finish!

There will be aid stations about every 1.55 miles….8 aid stations for the half marathon, 3 for the 10K and 1 for the 5K! There will be porta potties placed about every 3 miles.
