Overview
Modjeska is an unincorporated community on the western slope of the Santa Ana Mountains in eastern Orange County, California. The canyon is also the location of the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary. Most of the canyon is bordered by the Cleveland National Forest. Modjeska is named after the 19th-century Polish stage actress, mother of the famous bridge engineer Ralph Modjeski: Helena Modjeska, who settled in the canyon in the late 19th century. Modjeska Canyon is home to the annual Harding Hustle 50K. Harding Hustle 50K traverses the scenic Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains. The course begins and finishes at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary. Runners enjoy spectacular views and sunny skies while running on 100% trail fireroad with some singletrack.

What's included
The Harding Husltle 50K is an out and back course in Modjeska Canyon. The course begins and finishes at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary up Harding Truck Trail to Maple Springs. Runners then do a series of 3 out-and-backs to Modjeska Peak (5384 feet), Santiago Peak (5689 feet, highest point in Orange County), and Modjeska Peak again.

Parking is available at Definition, Foothill Ranch. Parking is NOT allowed at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary.
50K Aid stations will be located at mile 4.5 & 9.3 & 13.5 & 15.5 & 17.,5 & 22 & 26.5. All aid stations will have water & electrolytes. Mile 9.3, 15.5 & 22 will also have snacks/food. Food and beverages will be provided at the finish line.

Finishers will receive a finishers award. Prizes will be given to the top male and top female finishers in each race. 1st Male & Female overall: $150 cash + free race in 2018. 1st Male & Female to Santiago Peak: $75 cash. 1st Male & Female (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69: Custom Mugs. Course Record Bonus: $100.
