Hayden Lake Marathon

Enjoy breathtaking views while running past golf courses, lakes, horse pastures, farms, and North Idaho forests. All three distances start and finish at Hayden Lake’s Honeysuckle Beach, a beautiful neighborhood park overlooking Hayden Lake and surrounding mountains. Located just 10 minutes north of Coeur d'Alene, this unique marathon course goes completely around Hayden Lake on hilly, challenging forest-lined roads. Come experience North Idaho and its beautiful world-class recreation scenery.
The full Marathon course will traverse counter-clockwise around the lake starting and finishing at the beautiful Honeysuckle Beach
Aid Stations for the marathon will begin at mile 3, and be spaced every 2 miles thereafter (distances between Aid Stations may deviate slightly due to road shoulder width along the course). The last on-course Aid Station will be at mile 25. A post-race Aid Station will be available after the finish line.
Additional refreshments will be available at the Finish Line Party located at Honeysuckle Beach Park. Additional race-wear will also be available for purchase, as well as photo packages. Also, post-race massages will be available for a discounted rate.
Runners must be at least 15 years old on the day of the event to run the Marathon; Participants under the age of 18 must have permission and a signed waiver from a legal guardian.
Trophies will be awarded to the first three finishers in each event, by gender. Age group winners will receive a special age group ribbon. Marathon and Half Marathon finishers will receive finisher medallions.
6.5 hour time limit for marathon. City and Road Use Permits require events to conclude as soon as reasonably possible, and to restore regular traffic flow.
Water and sports drink will be provided at each aid station. Water will be provided at the starting line.
