The Helsinki City Running Day is the biggest and most international running event in Finland. The event attracts 15 000 runners from 82 nations and combines the largest running events of Finland into one day. There is something for everyone; Finland’s largest half marathon Helsinki City Run, the 39th Helsinki City Marathon, Helsinki City Marathon Relay which features a great team spirit, the short but sweet Helsinki City 5 and the adorable Minimarathon. Also, All Helsinki City Double - completing the half marathon and marathon on the same day is possible, the event is called these great events will fill the streets of Helsinki on 18 May 2019!Helsinki City Marathon is the original marathon of Helsinki which date has change from August to May under the same day than Finland most largest and international half marathon Helsinki City Run. Helsinki City Marathon (HCM) gathers about 3000 runners from all around the world to Helsinki every year and Helsinki City Run half marathon 10 000 runners every year. The starts are close to the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on the Mäntymäentie-street in front of the statue of a great Finnish Olympic runner, Paavo Nurmi. If you can’t choose between the half marathon and the marathon, you can also run both on the same day! This event is called Helsinki City Double, and it is for runners who want to first run the half marathon and after that also take part in the full marathon. For the runners who prefer to enjoy the great atmosphere and don’t want to aim for the full marathon or half marathon, Helsinki City Running Day offers you other options as well: Helsinki City Marathon Relay and Helsinki City 5 (km).

What's included
Helsinki City Marathon is a one-start-event. 42,195 meters long route goes around Helsinki finishing inside the historical Helsinki Olympic Stadium. The course starts near the statue of Paavo Nurmi and finishes at the Olympic Stadium. Various parks, miles of Baltic Sea coastline, and the Helsinki City centre are all located along the route.
Runners will enjoy a highly scenic route, taking in Baltic Sea coastline and many of Helsinki's most appealing sites such as the Olympic Stadium, Finlandia Hall, Parliament, Nokia House and Kaivopuisto Park.
The equipment storage area is located behind the Finish area (Telia 5G Arena).
Toilets and sponging stations at every refreshment station. Marathon and Double runners will get the sponges when picking up their race numbers.
The race bag, t-shirt, bib-number (+ for marathon runners sponge) and + (Relay and 5 K runners public transport tickets).

There is age limit of 18 years to Helsinki City Marathon and Helsinki City Double competition.
Each runner finishing gets the finisher medal. Best male and female runner will receive special prize and the possession of the trophy.

The race time limit for half marathon is 3 hours, for marathon and relay 6 hours and for 5 Km 1 hour.
From the city centre you can either walk to the Expo or take all the busses from Elielinaukio or the trams 2,4 and 10.
