ING Route du Vin Half Marathon

Overview
Some 23km southeast of Luxembourg City, Remich is the Wine Route's main transport hub. It's a pleasant town with a bridge to Germany and an old-fashioned feel; it's favoured by locals for indulgent lunches, picnics and riverside promenades. A line of stately hotels are all on the wrong side of the very busy riverside road. One-hour pleasure cruises, plus further options with buffet meals or shows, are operated by Navitours.Wine fans should head to the northern edge of town where, behind a popular restaurant, Caves St-Martin really are caves – time-blackened and hewn directly into a cliff. St-Martin's excellent crémant is actually produced elsewhere but the creation process is explained inside the cool of the tunnels (bring a sweater). Despite stated opening times, tours depart based on groups so individuals are advised to book via the website. Bus 450 Remich–Grevenmacher stops out front. With that being said, the ING Route du Vin Half Marathon is the place to be!!The ING Route du Vin Half Marathon (French: ING Route du Vin Semi-Marathon) is an annual road running competition over the half marathon distance (21.1 km/13.1 mi) which takes place in late September in Remich, Luxembourg. It is organised by the Luxembourg Athletics Federation and it is a member race of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. It is sponsored by ING Luxembourg.
