Koblenzer Sparkassen Marathon

All competitions start and finish in the Oberwerth stadium. You are leaving the oval through the marathon gate and finish with a final lap in the stadium.

The track is mostly flat (except for the bridge ramps), leading you through Koblenz city and the historic old town, pass the famous monument “Deutsches Eck” (not on the 10 km distance) in the suburbs. On the way you pass numerous sights such as Electoral Palace, City Theater, the home of the sparkling wine makers “Deinhard”, Basilica of St. Kastor, the residential tower "Deutscher Kaiser", the Old Castle and the Balduin Bridge. The route leads mostly through closed roads, as well the waterfront promenades on the Rhine and Moselle.

Every 5 kilometers stations are provided. Water and isotonic sports drink will be available at each station, plus cola and bananas at selected stations. Toilets are also provided on the track.

All participants of the Koblenz Sparkassen Marathon will receive medals and certificates.

Timekeeping is done exclusively with the ChampionChip (net time measurement). Please note: You cannot participate without chip!
