Leipziger Südraum Marathon

Overview
42 beautiful km in the Leipziger Neuseenland! A marathon run of a special kind. Three people form a team consisting of two cyclists and one runner. Running is probably the simplest and oldest sport in the world, which we pair with cycling. ... only the team counts! Feelings from inspiring to sobering will accompany you!
Course details
Since the first run in 2000, 1121 teams with 3,359 participants have accepted the challenge of circumnavigating the former large open-pit construction Espenhain, on whose territory the Störmthaler and the Markkleeberger See are developing, in a team on foot and by bicycle. Our run uniquely combines landscape exploration, athletic challenge and team experience.
What's included
The rules are simple: Two cyclists and one runner, no matter what gender, master the classic marathon distance as a group. It must always run a team member, this position may be changed at will. Thus, each team can develop its strategy. There must be a runner change equal to a relay race. For further information about the rules and regulations see conditions of participation.
