Long Course Weekend is a unique festival of sport that offers an unbeatable atmosphere. Over three days athletes can choose events from three disciplines (swim, bike, run) and multiple distances to create a tailor-made weekend course for their ability. For those looking to push their limits, there's the Long Course option - the longest distance in each event. Each Long Course Athlete who finishes will receive the coveted fourth medal for their medal stack. Long Course Weekend events are world famous for their atmosphere and spectacular finish lines. Full LCWThis one is for the athletes who are in for a challenge. A triathlon in three days and a unique location in The Netherlands: that is the Full Long Course Weekend. With a total of 4 medals (one per discipline and one for completing the Full Long Course Weekend), you can show everyone that you are the one that did it.The weekend starts off with the Swim on Friday 17 May. This 3.8 km long swim course is one of the most unique open-water swim course in The Netherlands. The second day, Saturday 18 May, will be the Bike day. On this day athletes are up for the 180 km long bike course. Both start and finish will be in the city centre of Reuver. Last but not least: the Run on Sunday 19 May. Athletes will run 42.2 km, also starting and finishing in the centre of Reuver.SwimThe Long Course Weekend Holland-Beesel Swim is one of the most unique open-water swim contests in The Netherlands. The beautiful ambience and beaches at Drakenrijk make this an event that you can’t miss.BikeThe bike course will take place in and out of Reuver. The different distances will show athletes the beautifull scenery of Reuver, Beesel, Swalmen and the German city of Brüggen.You can choose between the following distances:90km (1 lap)180km (2 laps)RunThe run course takes people through Reuver and Beesel. Depending on the distance, athletes will run one or more laps.You can choose between the following distances:6.5 km10 km21.1 km42.2 km6.5 kmYou start at the Market Square of Reuver. Running through the beautiful city centre, through Beesel and back. Focused on speed – go straight, turn at the aid station and go straight back again.10kmStart and finish are on the Market Square in Reuver. Same aid station at 6.5 km. There will be a water point further on the course. Back through the beautiful nature to the Market Square to finish.21,1 km (1 lap) – 42,2 km (2 laps)You will pass 5 aid stations in total, including aid station Offenbeek and Café de Paerssjtal. The start and finish on the Market Square of Reuver.KidsFor children from 6 years old, it is possible to participate in Long Course weekend Holland – Beesel too! Like the adults, they can choose from the different disciplines they want to participate in, or they do all 3 disciplines and take a Long Course Weekend. For each age group, it is possible to collect the fourth medal when they have completed all 3 disciplines.

When and where is Long Course Weekend Holland – Beesel?Long Course Weekend Holland – Beesel takes place from 17 – 19 May in and around Beesel. Can I register for someone else?No. For safety & security reasons you must register yourself and bring photo identification so that we can guarantee we are giving the right event number & timing chip to the correct athlete. This avoids mix ups with announcements, emergency contact information on the reverse of the race number, finisherpix, and DBMax timing.When can I expect the event pack?Absolutely everything you need to know about the Long Course weekend will be in our event pack. You can get yours at the event. This will include event timings. It is important you read this as details may be different to those on the website. We recommend using the online Event Pack as a guide, as an email will be sent to the address you registered with notifying you of final details and possible amendments.Can I use a personal listening device such as an iPod?Put simply, No. It is very important that you remain aware of your surroundings for the duration of the race as some parts of the course are on open roads and others cross public pathways.
