Main Street Half Marathon of Hunterdon

Join us October 13th for the 3rd Annual Main Street Half Marathon of Hunterdon! ABOUTA Celebration of Health. An Investment in Community.This race is a chance to run a beautiful country course from Main Street in Clinton to Stangl Road in Flemington, NJ. The Race benefits local drug abuse prevention and education programs, primarily by focusing on special programs for area high schools.This race is a perfect tune-up for those that are running the NYC Marathon a month later, as our mix of flat and fast with a few challenging climbs that will get you ready for the big city bridges!Looking to run a goal? We have pace leaders at 10 minute intervals from 1:40 - 2:30.There are options for Individuals, Relay Pairs, Teams and Mayor's Cup Town Teams. The race is Walker Friendly and open to anyone that can complete the course in the 4 hour time limit. (You may choose to complete the course beyond the time limit, but it will reopen to traffic and support is not guaranteed.)WEEKEND EVENTSA weekend packed with fun for runners and their families starts at Noon with our Saturday Expo and Packet Pickup, including a Superhero Sprint Fun Run for the kids at 3:00 PM! Sign up early to be sure to get one of a limited number of Superhero Capes.Vendors, Merch, Family-friendly activities, Beer Garden, Live Entertainment and more will keep everyone happy and get you ready to race the following day.Sunday's Race Day begins with those that wish to walk the course starting at 7:30 AM, followed by corralled starts with the first wave released at 8:00 AM. The course is supported by 6 water stops, an energy gel stop, portable toilets, medical aid, music, loudmouth cheer zones (with a chance to win a cash prize!) and a couple of surprises.After making your way to the finish line in Flemington and received your custom finisher's medal, you'll be treated to a finish line party with live music, food and local craft beer, including a free pour for those finishers 21 and older. There was a time when road races were intimate. Small groups of committed athletes worked hard and pushed themselves toward the achievement of something significant. Although there have always been plenty of characters, it was never about the costume. Although the pay-off of a new personal best was significant and long lasting, it was never about the prizes.
