Overview
A time-honored Colonial Beach tradition honoring the history and the bounty of the Potomac River. The Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department sponsor the events on Friday which begins with the Firemen’s Parade…reputed to be the loudest parade in Virginia! After the parade the beauty pageant takes place on the Town Stage.
Course details
The Potomac River Festival continues on Saturday and Sunday and includes a Grand Feature Parade, a Pet Parade, a Boat Parade, music, a Town Carnival, food and craft vendors, and more! Amazing Fireworks can be seen from both Maryland and Virginia on Saturday night. The event takes place on Town Hill and the Town Carnival is on the lower Hill area. The Annual Potomac River Festival occurs the 2nd weekend in June.
