Naperville Women's Half Marathon

In Sunday late April the City of Naperville will play host to the newest community event for female runners of all ability levels with the Annual Naperville Women’s Half Marathon and 5K presented by Naperville Running Company. This unique format, offered to women only, will again turn the streets of Naperville into a show of force as the fitness movement continues to expand because of their involvement.The event features two competitions for all ability levels of running or walking in either the Half Marathon or 5K.The Naperville Women’s Half Marathon starts at 7:00am with the 5K starting at 7:30am from the campus of North Central College. Runners and walkers will travel through some of the most famous neighborhoods and boulevards in the city, as the event cruises through areas like downtown Naperville, Fifth Street Station and of course the North Central College campus.The finish of all events and our post event celebrations will take place in the stadium of North Central College from 8:30am to Noon with food, refreshments and live entertainment.
Runners will leave the back gate area of Benedetti-Wehril Stadium on E Porter Avenue and head south to S Washington Street. Runners will run east along S. Washington Street and pass through the downtown area in the first few miles of the event. Athletes will turn off of S. Washington Street onto 5th Street where they will run past the famous 5th Avenue Station on their way to a right turn onto Columbia Street and mile 6 in the half marathon course. Runners will pass the Naperville Country Club at mile 7 and turn right onto Olesen Drive and begin a trip through some of the beautiful residential communities that surround North Central Collage! As runners approach mile 11 at the corner of Hobson Road and S Washington Street they will begin the last 2.1 miles along the Dupage River before reentering the campus of North Central College. As half marathon runners begin to enter the Benedetti-Wehril Stadium they will be directed towards the outside lanes of the track to finish at the half marathon finish line.
Half Marathon Aid Stations Located at Miles 1,3,5,7,9,11. Energy Gels and Chomps Located at Aid Stations at Miles 5, 7, 9, &11.
Everybody receives a Women’s Cut Technical Short Sleeve T-Shirt and a drawstring backpack; Half Marathoners receive a 3″ finisher medal, while the 5K will receive a 2″ finisher medal.
The half marathon has a 4-hour time limit.
