Öland Marathon

Overview
Sweden's second largest island Öland, is the site of an annual marathon in beautiful environments. The track is flat, fast and often used by the Swedish elite runners to qualify for the Olympics. Löttorp where the race starts and finish, is a center for northern Öland. This area is bursting with different activities and there are plenty of things to do for tourists. In the summer, visitors flock here to, among other things, to shop or eat at one of local restaurants. After your marathon race, you can sunbathe and swim on the east coast's beautiful long sandy beach or take an evening swim in the sunset on the west coast flat rocks where fossils appear as a memory of bygone era.
