Overview
A SPECTACULAR FOOTRACE ACROSS THE OMANI DESERT165 kilometers in 6 self-sufficient stages to discover the most remote and untouched sands and the highest dunes of the Oman Desert on the tracks of the ancient caravans. From the Oasis of Bidya to the Arabian Sea.Once you arrive in Oman, you will be our guest and we will gladly welcome you with the legendary hospitality of the people of the desert. Food, soft drinks, accommodation, and transfers will be provided by the organization.At the end of this momentous journey, a special meal will be offered to all the runners and the last day is spent resting, visiting the Omani beauties and attending the Gala Night with the prize giving ceremony.
Course details
The course will start from the Oasis of Bidiyah and finish on the shore of the Arabian Sea. Six stages and six different perspectives of one of the most beautiful deserts of the world: red, golden and white sands will give make this journey unique and always different, in a scenario that doesn’t know the monothony.
What's included
The Oman Desert Marathon course is designed to embrace the desert experience, and the Oman desert is one of the most beautiful locations for such an event. Six stages of 21 km, 25 km, 28 km , 29 km, 42 km and 20 km take the runners into the Oman Desert with a variety of landscapes and sand conditions giving the runner a complete desert experience, including a night stage that will take the runners through the magic of the desert illuminated by the stars, from the desert to the beautiful beaches of the Arabian Sea.
Checkpoints will be placed at approximately 10 km intervals. These are mandatory passages where each runner’s arrival will be recorded. Medical support will be present at every checkpoint in case advice or treatment is required. The medical team may withdraw a competitor if his condition presents a serious risk to his health and safety.

Bottled mineral water will be provided at each checkpoint, approximately every 10 km and at the base camp.
