Orange Park Acres 4th of July 5K and 10K Epic Challenge

Put on your Red, White, and Blue and run the races where horses are spectators. 1st Place finisher each division take home the lucky horseshoe medal - yes a real horseshoe! Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Orange Park Acres 4th of July Pre-Parade 5K and the 6th running of the 10K Epic Challenge CROSS-COUNTRY Race and traverse thru the rural and picturesque Orange Park Acres community. Situated on the edge of Orange and known for its equestrian estates and 4H animal husbandry, participants pass horses grazing in pastures and may catch a glimpse or two of unusual farm animals and miniature horses.  The family-friendly 5k closely follows the "4th of July" Parade route - a 50 plus year tradition that  starts just after the races end. Runners and walkers of all ages and skill level are welcome and it's stroller friendly as well.  There is a bit of a hill towards the end to challenge runners on all levels!  The 10K Epic Challenge Cross Country Race, for ages 11 and up, hits the trails in this idyllic setting but is a more challenging course, not for the weak of knees or ankles, as it traverses multiple trail surfaces, steep grade changes, and the probability of a water crossing or two.  Participants medals for finishers. Custom medals are awarded for the top three finishers in each age bracket.  All participants registered by June 10th receive a race T. After that date T-shirts are not guaranteed and are on a first come –first served basis.   We ask for no pets on the race course for their safety as well as the safety of other participants.
