P-Weg

Overview
For the first time in 2004, the P-Weg Marathon weekend was held in Plettenberg. Under the motto "Plettenberger for Plettenberg", a completely honorary organized sports event was launched, which has a unique character due to its sporty combination "hiking-running-biking".
Course details
The Saturday of the event weekend is reserved for "pedestrians", hikers, walkers and runners who can measure their powers in the disciplines of half marathon, marathon and ultramarathon. Sunday is reserved for bikers, for whom there is now a marathon, superbike and ultrabike course available.
What's included
The marathon and ultramarathon distances largely follow the P-Weg, a circular route that once circumnavigates the city of Plettenberg, including both the four valleys and the associated mountains. Common to all routes is that no meter is run or driven twice. Start and finish are a few hundred meters apart in the city center of Plettenberg. Unique is certainly the finish, in which each participant is celebrated on a stage by Plettenberger audience.
