Overview

The Quad Cities Marathon and Festival of Races is held annually on the fourth Sunday in September. Celebrating its 19th anniversary in 2016, it has quickly become a favorite among marathoners across the globe. Each year, the Quad Cities hosts more than 6,000 runners and walkers and thousands more spectators for its various events over Race Weekend.  The flat and fast USATF certified course is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Are you ready for the Midwest's favorite marathon? The 26.2 mile run starts and ends in downtown Moline, IL. The course captures the essence of our nation's heartland with a consistent connection to the Mississippi River. The views are amazing, the Midwest charm is present and the course is fairly fast. It's a great Boston Marathon qualifier. It covers 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states, and 1 island, all along the mighty Mississippi River. The Quad Cities Marathon and Festival of Races has something for everyone. We are amazed and humbled by the comments that we receive each year. Find out why so many runners return year after year to our event. Whether you're looking to qualify for Boston, or walk a mile with your friends - this fun and well organized event is perfect for elite athletes and casual runners alike.
