Overview
The International Panel retains the right to adapt racing to ensure a fair process in line with the following principles and processes: The chief judge will have the responsibility to assess weather conditions and make necessary decisions relating to the timetabling of the event. The chief judge and International Panel will also have the responsibility to make any adjustments to the timetable following any delays. Should local conditions threaten the planned racing then the chief judge reserves the right to amend the race format/schedule/start or finish lines in any way necessary to complete fair racing.
Course details
If an athlete/crew (C2) is unable to contest selection the International Panel (IP) reserves the right to provide a further opportunity to qualify to compete at the 2019 European and/or World Championships, subject to the following conditions: Certificated evidence of illness or other mitigating circumstance must be presented to the IP prior to the commencement of the selection competition. In such a case the IP may identify a single race opportunity whereby the 3rd boat of the selection series and the identified athlete(s) would compete for a European Championship and/or World Championship place If this situation arises more detail would be provided following the IP meeting immediately after the spring 2019 Selection competition
What's included
For Senior European & World Championships, the athlete/crew must be able to demonstrate, in both training and racing, superior performance above other athletes/crews. The IP will consider the following criteria: The athlete’s training and racing profile (from GBR performance analysis data) ICF World Ranking, Performance at Olympic, World Championship, European Championship and/or World Cup races within the previous 24 months.
