Race for Life 5k – Basingstoke
12 June 2019
This is a 5k suitable for all abilities. This is thousands of women uniting with one purpose. Walk, jog or run. Raise valuable funds for research.
The Basingstoke route has a fantastic atmosphere as the course criss-crosses around the many park tracks meaning you can always see other participants around you. Travelling along grass and country paths this course is almost entirely flat with one short incline made just a couple of paces long near the start.Unfortunately the route is unsuitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to the nature of the course and terrain.
The meeting point is on the rugby club field, next to the astroturf pitches.
The nearest station is Basingstoke but the venue is quite far to walk, so we'd recommend catching the Number 4 bus or trying to carpool in a taxi with friends. There is parking available at the venue if you plan on driving.
Don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you. They can stroll around the stalls we’ll have, including face painting, Race for Life clothing, healthy food and sweet treats before cheering you on.
