Rustic Run/Walk

THE RUSTIC RUN & WALK, held on 8 JUNE 2019, is an easy, moderate fun-oriented event that compliments the extreme Mt Difficulty Ascent race that is held on the same day. The half or full marathon options are run in 5.275 km laps through the Bannockburn Sluicings near Cromwell, Central Otago. Challenge yourself, or enter a team of colleagues, family or just a group of mates. Run in any order or any distance. Enjoy the atmosphere, camaraderie and meet others with the same goals!

Required Gear:Gloves and hatWarm merino gearWind/rainproof jacket is Highly Recommended.Note: Mid June is WINTER in New Zealand. This is especially so in Central Otago where we get the coldest winters in the country. One of special characteristics is our frosty mornings followed by crisp, clear calm days. So it could well be below freezing for the race start, you’ll soon warm up on the climbs… Might get up to 12-16’C later in the morning…or it could be windy/rainy/snowy. Please dress appropriately.
