Overview
Forest Runner is held every year during the first weekend of September with both a marathon , half marathon , quarter marathon route , '5' and now Kid O Sand Dunes (directions follow). The marathon and half marathon routes bring the runners through the beautiful - but also hilly forest around Hvalsø. The two long routes go over Zealand's highest point Gyldenløveshøj- underway, there is a view of Skjoldenæsholm estate - Særløse Overdrev and of course lots of varied forest terrain.
Course details
Quarter marathon and 5th route do not pass Gyldenløvshøj, but also bring the runners on a beautiful walk through the forest around Hvalsø. The children's pavement is close to the hall.
What's included
Every year, Skovløber is visited by between 500-600 runners, who all want to throw in some of Zealand's little hard and beautiful routes. All four routes have start and finish in Hvalsø town, where there are good opportunities for changing rooms while at the same time there are good transport and parking facilities .
