Skyline to the Sea Marathon

Welcome to the Skyline to the Sea Marathon, which part of the Pacific Coast Trail Runs series. The Pacific Coast Trail Runs provide the opportunity for runners to push further and find amazement in themselves by offering long distance running events on California's beautiful trails. Everything we do celenbrates community, the environment and the strength of the human spirit.This is the original Skyline to the Sea trail run! The trail begins at Saratoga Gap and descends from the Santa Cruz Mountains to the deep blue Pacific Ocean. Along the way you will encounter amazing views of the Monterey Bay, coastal and redwood forests, lush ferns, chaparral, exquisite sandstone formation, crystal clear waterfalls and the beauty of California wildflowers. This gorgeous venue is not to be missed.
Course details
Point-to-point course that starts at Saratoga Gap and descends from the Santa Cruz Mountains to the deep blue Pacific Ocean in Rancho del Oso.
What's included
Along the way runners will encounter amazing views of the Monterey Bay, coastal and redwood forests, lush ferns, chaparral, exquisite sandstone formation, crystal clear waterfalls and the beauty of California wildflowers. This gorgeous venue is not to be missed.
Fully-stocked aid stations every 9 - 12 kilometers. You can expect fresh fruit, salty snacks, assorted candy, boiled potatoes & salt, water, and Clif Shot Bloks, electrolytes sports drink and more. It is highly recommended that runners carry at least 20 oz. of water between aid stations.
Placement Awards are given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place overall female and male finishers overall in each distance. Age group 2016 medallions are awarded to the female and male 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finisher in each ten-year age group for each distance. All distance runner finishers will receive a race logo and dated finisher medallion.
8 hour. There is a 1 p.m. cut-off time to reach the Gazo Creek Aid Station.
