Overview
Run down Metairie Road before the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, and don't miss your ONLY chance to qualify for the 2018 Crescent City Classic 10k at the 2-mile distance.The race begins at 10:00 am outside Gennaro's bar on Metairie Rd. at N. Causeway. The 2-mile course will proceed down the parade route on Metairie Rd. finishing at Frisco, just before the train tracks and Winston's Pub & Patio, where the post-race party will take place!
Course details
The Allstate Sugar Bowl St. Patrick’s Day Classic course begins on Metairie Road, outside of Gennaro’s bar at N. Causeway (3200 Metairie Rd.), proceeds down Metairie Rd. to Frisco, and finishes just before the train tracks and Winston’s Pub & Patio (531 Metairie Rd.), where the post-race party is held.
What's included
Race Day number pick up will begin at 8:30 am inside Gennaro’s bar.
Parking is fist-come, first-served street parking. We suggest that you arrive early or arrange to be dropped off near the start, as parking along the parade route can be tricky.
POST-RACE PARTY:Participants are invited to attend a post-race party after the race, held at Winston’s Pub & Patio. Michelob Ultra beer, Blue Runner Foods and special drink specials will be provided for race participants at the post-race party. Don’t forget your money! tasc Performance will be selling special limited-edition St. Patrick’s Day Classic merchandise!BIB NUMBERS AND RACE T-SHIRTS:All runners will receive a Bib Number on Race Day. Each bib number will have a timing chip attached to the back – DO NOT REMOVE. Please pick up your bib number from inside Gennaro’s Bar on race day, from 8:30-10:00am or during Early Number Pick Up (TBD)Commemorative race shirts will be given to ALL race participants at the end of the race or during Early Number Pick up.Are walkers and strollers welcome?Absolutely! Just please be courteous to our runners and line up near the back on Race Day.
