Overview
The remaining athlete quota places in each of the Male and Female Canoe pools will be reallocated to the highest ranked NOCs not yet qualified in the relevant C2 event at the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, to enable those NOCs to fill the C2 boats.
Course details
A minimum of three (3) NOCs must contest each athlete quota place at the Continental Qualification for the event to be eligible. If there are not three (3) or more NOCs in an event, then the athlete quota place(s) will be reallocated to the next highest ranked NOC, in that event, not yet qualified at the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, irrespective of the continent.
What's included
For K2 events (Men and Women) the next highest ranked NOCs from three (3) different continents (excluding Europe) at the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships will earn that continent two (2) athlete quota places each. The two (2) athlete quota places will then be contested at each respective Continental Qualification Competition. Two (2) athlete quota places will be contested at the European Continental Qualification Competition.
