Overview

We welcome you to a whole new series; the Maverick Inov-8 X Series events are designed to test your resolve and take you to the upper limits of your abilities. We venture to The Snowdonia National Park known as Eryri in Welsh, a name that can be translated as the place of the eagles. The Maverick inov-8 Snowdonia X-series and Ultra event is quickly becoming a notorious event within the UKs Trail running calendar. To keep up with the reputation of our Snowdonia event being the toughest in the area weve added a brand new ultra-distance route that will see the most bold of trail runners cover over 60km of Snowdonias finest Trails and summit from both the Llanberis and Miners track. In the destination venue of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, there is never any guarantee of the weather, but what is always promised is the most extraordinary trail running up and around the surrounding area of the formidable 1085m peak of Snowdon itself. All four routes of or Snowdon X-series event start in the village of Llanberis and immediately take you up the well-known Llanberis Path towards the Summit. All routes are challenging and technical, but with grit and determination they are achievable and will leave you with the most fulfilling sense of accomplishment. For many of our runners our Snowdon X-series event is quite literally the peak of their season. In past years as runners come back through the Village of Llanberis to cross the Maverick finish line we see tears of complete fatigue and overwhelming happiness due to these runners pushing themselves to their own personal limits to complete this extraordinary event.
