The North Face Endurance Challenge (California)
Overview
Located in the visually stunning Marin Headlands, The North Face Endurance Challenge Championship course engages runners with both scenic views and drastic elevation change. The courses offer stunning views and incredible trails just across the way from the Golden Gate Bridge.
Course details
The course starts and finishes at the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and runners should prepare forrepeated elevation gains and losses of several hundred feet.
What's included
The Golden Gate Bridge
Participants will be allowed to park within Fort Barry at designated locations only.
On race day, bags must be dropped at the Gear Check tent before 4:30 a.m. Gear bags cannot exceed 10 pounds.
The aid stations will be stocked with pb&j sandwiches, cookies, brownies, fruit, salty snacks, electrolytes, and liquids.
Finish Festival
HOST HOTEL Holiday Inn Express, Cavallo Point, Mill Valley Inn, Best Western - Corte Madera Inn, Travelodge
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female participants in the GORE-TEX® 50 MILE race in the following amounts: First Place – $10,000 Second Place – $4,000 Third Place – $1,000.
Chip Timing
14 hrs
Shuttles will be provided for all participants and spectators to and from the event.
All GORE-TEX® 50 Mile participants will receive a free meal ticket on their race bib, redeemable at the Catering booth.
