The Green Monster 2.5 MilesAs per 2018 the event will start from the beach at the entrance to the Harbour just prior to low tide. From here the swimmers will head out into St Brides Bay and bare slightly left as you headed towards Gaseg Rocks. Once on the back of the Gaseg the swimmers will head for the Green Scar and round the back of this beast of an Island. Once they have circumnavigated the Island they will head back to the mouth of the Harbour for a Beach Finish. The Black Run.You will start on the beach and swim out passing the rock on your left hand side. You will then head out to St Brides Bay. When at 0.5 miles from the comfort of the beach you will round a buoy before coming into the beach the other side of the rock.Passing the Rock on either side can be an experience. Tackling any swell that may be there and the thought of going out into the deep, Is a fair tester!!!

Booking Conditions / Rules and RegulationsRefunds – Should you have to withdraw from the event a 60% Refunded will be given up until 1 month prior to the event after this date no refund can be made.Transfers to another swimmer / deferrals to another event / Changing between distances can be made free of charge up to 1 week before the event anything after this can not be done.Event cancellation – This is in the hands of mother nature when it comes to the weather and sea conditions, We monitor the weather extremely closely on the build up to the event and should be in a position to know 24hrs before if the event can be held or not. However this is not always the case and unpredictable conditions or un-forecasted weather can occur. If this is the case we will do our utmost to get all swimmers into the water for a worthwhile swim as we have several options available to re route the course. If none of these are appropriate and the event is cancelled. We can not offer refunds. This is due to the fact that the event money has already been spent and to have insurance to cover this would not be financially viable, meaning we would have to double the entry fee for the just in case!We also appreciate that you have spent your money and incurred other costs associated with the event. We will therefore either look to offer an alternative date, defer to the following year or transfer to another event.Sea Floats are allowedThis year No entries will be taken on the dayThere are two reasons for this the first being safety! we do not want a large influx of competitors on the day that will interfere with our logistics and safetyAlso we operate on small numbers and do not have a massive stock of hats and t-shirts lying around and at previous events this has caused issues with those who have paid up front missing out, well no more!!! It’s just not right!
