Triple Threat Half Marathon

Overview
Part of a series of road races taking place in cities along Massachusetts’ North Shore throughout the year, the Triple Threat Half Marathon is one of a series of running events designed to encourage both beginning and experienced runners to increase their distance and challenge themselves with new and greater running and fitness goals throughout the year.Starting in April with the series’ first event, a one-mile run in nearby Gloucester, the series is designed to build both the confidence and the fitness levels of runners with steadily more challenging races.
Course details
The half marathon race, which starts from the campus of Rockport High School, follows an out-and-back route along the cape’s coastline, much of it along Highway 127A. Runners will pass by and through local parks and beaches along the way, and while there are a few rolling hills on the course, most of it unfolds at close to sea level, as it runs along the cape’s scenic shoreline. The half-way turnaround point lies next to Good Harbor Beach, and then brings runners back along the route they’ve just run to the high school for the race finish.
