What's included
Known as one of California’s wine capitals for its blend of wineries, art galleries, antique shops and museums, the population of the small town of Fulton swells every summer with the throngs of tourists and wine enthusiasts who flock to this area located just an hour’s drive north of San Francisco. That, of course, makes it one of the best places to combine a morning race with an afternoon and weekend of wine and food, and that’s exactly what the race organizers have in mind for the Water to Wine Half Marathon, which makes its annual running in the late summer, at a time of year when sunshine will be abundant and rain is extremely scarce — exactly the conditions that help make it perfect for growing wine grapes. With a combination of mountains in the distance, the rolling fields of the vineyards along the route here in Sonoma County and the peaceful scenic beauty of the winery at the finish line, the Water to Wine Half promises a relaxing course with plenty to distract you if you’re out for fun, as well as the chance to record an excellent time thanks to the race’s elevation profile.
Parking will be at Kendall Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens.
We will have water and hydration stations every 2 - 3 miles. Portable Restrooms will be located at every aid station. Ambulance will be on the course and at the Finish Line. Medical tent will also be available at the finish.
